Research capabilities and technical data
A high-precision polishing machine enables mechanical grinding with thickness and angle control. It allows for the repeatable preparation of thin areas (up to several nanometers) with high surface quality. It is part of the infrastructure designed for the preparation of specimens for transmission electron microscopy (TEM).
