Debata o polskiej mikroelektronice na Forum Ekonomicznym w Karpaczu

On September 8–10, 2026, Karpacz hosted the 35th Economic Forum - the largest and most important socio-economic conference in Central Europe, serving as a key platform for dialogue between politics, business, science, and culture. 

On the second day, September 9, Michał Dżoga (Manager at Intel, CEO & Co-Founder of BearLake Group) in a panel discussion titled “Polish Microelectronics: Time to Leverage Our Own Expertise” was Prof. Piotr Perlin, Head of the Optoelectronic Devices Laboratory at the Institute of High Pressures PAS. The panel also included Michał Gwizda (Crido Business Consulting Sp. z o.o.), Mariusz Wielec (Warsaw University of Technology, Director of CEZAMAT), and prof. Adam Woźniak (Vice Rector for Development, Warsaw University of Technology). 

The discussion focused on Polish expertise, human resources, and research infrastructure, which could form the basis for a stronger position in the European microelectronics value chain. The panelists discussed whether it is possible to effectively combine these resources with capital, industry, and strategic government policy. They also considered whether we are capable of leveraging our own technologies and know-how, rather than merely being consumers of solutions developed abroad. 

This year’s edition of the Forum is held under the theme “The architecture of a new order - stability in times of change,” which reflects the scale of the challenges facing Europe and the world today. The discussion on the prospects for semiconductors and microelectronics in Poland is an important piece of the puzzle regarding the sovereignty of our country and of Europe.
