Michal Bockowski is an International Fellow of the Japan Society of Applied Physics
Prof. Michal Bockowski, director of the Institute of High Pressure Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences, was elected a 2024 International Fellow of the Japan Society of Applied Physics (JSAP) for his acomplishemnt titled "For pioneering research on high-quality GaN crystallization process under ultra-high-pressure conditions."
With over 20,000 members, JSAP is the premier organization dedicated to advancement of science and technology at large in Japan. The JSAP Fellow International Award was established in 2012 to recognize the researchers living outside of Japan who have made remarkable contributions to the progress of applied physics through international activities related to JSAP.
Prof. Bockowski will give a lecture at the annual JSAP Autumn Meeting on September 17th, 2024 entitled, "Insights on GaN bulk crystal growth and GaN-on-GaN technology".
