The International Seminar “Young4SoftMatter”- 2nd Polish-Slovenian Edition was held online on June 26-28, 2023. During the three-day International Seminar, the following scientific events took place:
- 29 lectures
- 7 posters
- 2 lectures of Special Guests
- 3 plenary lectures
- Q&A with the Scientific Council
The Directors of The International Seminar “Young4SoftMatter”: Dr hab. Aleksandra Drozd-Rzoska & Prof. Samo Kralj, the inspirators of this event, took the leadership over The International Seminar, sharing their experience, vision, and ideas.
The entire organization of The International Seminar was supervised by the Organizing Committee: mgr Agata Angelika Rzoska & dr Szymon Starzonek, which was constantly watching to solve all issues on an ongoing basis.
The International Seminar “Young4SoftMatter”- 2nd Polish-Slovenian Edition was addressed to young scientists who wanted to share their scientific research work. Participants could not only share their results by presenting lectures or posters and discussing them during Q&A session but also listen to lectures by authorities in the soft matter field.
The International Seminar “Young4SoftMatter” was opened by the Special Guest: Prof. Veronika Kralj-Iglič from the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, with her inspiring lecture “Membrane curvature - the ancient language of crosstalk between life domains”.
On the second day of the Seminar, a lecture entitled "Tourism phenomena and systems: a physicist's point of view" was delivered by the Special Guest, Prof. Rodolfo Baggio, from Bocconi University in Milano, Italy.
Each day of The International Seminar “Young4SoftMatter” there was a plenary lecture.
A very interesting point of The International Seminar “Young4SoftMatter” was the Q&A session, during which participants could ask questions on issues bothering them. Our Special Guests also shared their points of view on the development and career, during the Q&A session. Prof. Rodolfo Baggio commented on how the language of physics can describe phenomena widely used in economics and management sciences.
The chairmen’s involvement was invaluable throughout the conference as they conducted all sessions professionally and with full commitment.
