In the last week of June, ICPS-2022 will take place in Sydney (Australia). It is the world's largest and most prestigious conference on various aspects of semiconductor physics.

We are very pleased to see among the invited speakers our colleague Dr. Julita Smalc-Koziorowska. Julita is a specialist in the physics of semiconductor structure defects. Her research interests span transmission electron microscopy characterization of semiconductor structures with a special focus on tracking the mechanism of defect introduction in epitaxial nitride layers. Recently, she studied the mechanism of threading dislocation introduction from stacking fault domains in such layers.

Julita is a specialist in the physics of defects in semiconductor crystals and structures. At the Conference, she will be talking on the role of metal vacancies in thermal degradation of InGaN.
