Institute of High Pressure Physics

The Chapter of Polish Society for Crystal Growth (PSCG) awarded Dr Paweł Kempisty from Institute of High Pressure Physics PAS the first place in the competition of the best PhD thesis in the growth and characterization of bulk crystals, thin layers, low dimensional structures, and new materials, written and defended in the academic and scientific institutions in Poland. The present edition entailed the PhD theses defended in 2013, 2014, 2015 and before July 2016.

The PWCG Prizes are awarded for documented, original scientific achievements in the domain of crystal growth and characterization of bulk crystals, thin layers and low dimensional structures. The assessment of the theses submitted to the Prize includes; scientific level, presentation, originality and language perfection. The assessment includes also the scientific record of the author in the Philadelphia List of Journals. The PSCG prize is given in the form of the Diploma signed by the PSCG President and the Chairman of the Chapter.
