MIKON THz Session May 11 & LIA Meeting May 12/13 2016
Institute of High Pressure Physics PAS organized two scientific events in Krakow, on 11-13th May 2016. The IHPP PAS was co-organizer of terahertz session at the MIKON2016 conference on 11th May 2016. During this session, many interesting oral presentations, posters and discussions were fulfilled.
You can find detailed information on the MIKON2016 website.
The second scientific event was the II International Meeting LIA Meeting 2016, which also took part in Krakow on 12-13th May. This meeting was organized by IHPP PAS in the frame of the international collaboration project between laboratories from France, Poland and Russia Laboratory of Terahertz and Mid-Infrared Collective Phenomena in Semiconductor Nanostructures – TERAMIR.
At the LIA meeting, many interesting presentations related to research on theory, growth, processing and research on Terahertz and Midinfrared (TERA-MIR) properties of novel semiconductor nanostructures with emphasis on Dirac like energy dispersion systems were presented. In particular strong impact of presenters was put on the topological insulators, as the very interesting subject of experiments and theoretical modeling.
There were 30 scientists from Poland, France, Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania and China at the LIA meeting and 16 presentations were presented. One of the main result is the outline of future innovative research projects in the framework of LIA project – TERAMIR.
